Lords of Death History
The Lords Of Death gaming clan was founded in the spring of 2002. It originated after Bling and Hamburglar teamed up to become a very effective killing duo, Bling as a lieutenant and Hamburglar as a medic. Bling and Hamburglar started calling themselves "Lord Bling My Shizzo" and "Lord Hamburglar." Of course, this looked and sounded incredibly stupid so they decided to add "Death" onto the end resulting in the "Lords of Death."
H8MyBoss was the first member to join after the clan was officially created, followed shortly by Cript_SW and then The Cheat. The Cheat, although no longer a member, designed the LOD tags, which are still in use to this date. Rizzo was also an early member who brought with him a server and LOD's first website.
Later, in the fall of 2002, monkeyboy and uenvyme were recruited into the clan. With their introduction came a new LOD website from monkeyboy and an LOD server run by uenvyme. More recruitment followed until the end of 2002 and throughout 2003.
In the spring of 2004 a new division of LOD was created, the Euro (short for European) squad. This squad was led by Toji and was designed to bring more European players into LOD so the current members did not have to deal with the large time difference between Europe and North America just so they could play with other LOD. Unfortunately, this squad did not last and was no more later in the same year.
The most notable changes of 2005 brought about the shift of LOD game play from its traditional focus on RTCW 1.0 to two new games, Enemy Territory and Battlefield 2.
Over the years a lot of members have come and gone from LOD, but the core group has always remained. LOD is more than just great players, LOD is about family and playing with a great bunch of people that you can always depend on to never let you down.
